THE ARABI TERMINAL (a.k.a. Chalmette Slip) is located on the Mississippi River, mile marker 90.5, between the river and St. Bernard Highway (LA. Hwy 46). It is bounded by Chalmette National Historical Park on the East, and Domino Sugar Refinery on the West. (Latitude 29.55' N, Longitude 89.55" W --Time zone GMT-6 Hours). The St. Bernard Port purchased the property on January 29, 1993, from Norfolk Southern Corporation and has developed a state of the art cargo handling facility and Industrial park. In July 2002 upgrades were completed on Docks 1 and 2.

RECENT EXPANSION In December 2003 construction was completed on a 40,000 sq. foot transit shed with 4 acres of hard surface laydown.
