In Memory of Dr. Robert J. Scafidel

It is with much sorrow that we announce the death of Robert J. Scafidel, Ed.D. Dr. Scafidel was the Executive Director for the St. Bernard Port, Harbor and Terminal District from 1998 to 2017. As Executive Director, he achieved his goals of renovating docks, developing riverfront property, and improving the economic conditions in St. Bernard Parish by creating jobs. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. We are grateful for his contribution to the St. Bernard Port and the maritime community.

The St. Bernard Port Administration office will be closed until Monday, 9/6/21. We currently anticipate to re-open on Tuesday, 9/7/21 at 8:00 A.M.

Entergy is currently staging on St. Bernard Port Property.

The Port office is open with limited employees on site. If tenants are in need of assistance please go to the Port Administration Building or the Port Maintenance Shop

Additional duties include, but are not limited to, typing, filing and processing Bids, Quotes and Project Files. Work Hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday.
