For the past six years, local maritime leaders have recognized the region’s rich maritime history and honored its hardworking men and women by celebrating “Maritime Month” each May to coincide with National Maritime Day on May 22.

Now Hiring: Security Guards (Part-Time)

St. Bernard Port, Harbor and Terminal District seeks to fill a part-time Security Guard positions. Persons applying will be responsible for maintaining security at all Terminals by controlling access in and out of the facilities, preventing crime and vandalism and providing traffic and parking controls. Security Guards work revolving shifts. Applicants need a valid U.S. Driver’s License to apply and must meet the requirements to acquire a TWIC card.
